Structural retrofit of an existing retail space approximately 10,000 square feet addition to an existing grocery store. The structure consisted a basement with slab on grade and two stories with a roof structure of conventional wood framing. The perimeter walls were constructed of CMU block. UBS provided unique column beam connection by providing steel saddle connection for damaged column-beam connection. Reinforced the existing beam with double flitch plates with through bolts.
